shipanysaas

A SaaS boilerplate with a real phone app.

shipanysaas is a SaaS boilerplate whose All-in plan includes a real phone app: an Expo app for iPhone, iPad and Android on the same Supabase backend as the Next.js web app. People sign in with the same account, switch between their teams, and invite and manage members on the phone. Customers pay on the website, and the app shows their team’s plan.

Launch price: $49 web · $99 with iOS and Android, first 100 customers

What the app has today.

Every item works in the Expo app that ships with All-in, on iPhone, iPad and Android.

In the phone app

Real screens built with Expo and React Native, on the same sign-in and data as the website.

  • Sign in with email and password, or Google, using the website’s accounts
  • Sign-ups and password resets confirmed with a code sent by email
  • Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app
  • A personal account plus teams, with a switcher and team creation
  • Invite members, change roles, and renew or revoke invitations
  • Accept a team invitation inside the app
  • Profile picture, team logo, password change and account deletion
  • The team’s plan, shown read-only
  • Sign-ins stored encrypted on the phone
  • Set up for App Store and Google Play releases

What stays on the web.

Some parts are web-only by design, and some are not in the phone app. These are the main ones.

Web app only

  • Checkout and the billing portal

App store rules cover in-app sales, so customers pay on the website

  • The admin panel

A tool for you, not your users, so it stays out of the app

  • Passkeys and magic links

On the phone, people sign in with a password or Google

  • Notifications

The in-app bell is on the web only, and the kit has no push notifications

  • Team handover and deletion, email change

The app shows that these are done on the website

How it works.

Pay once, accept the GitHub invitation, then build with your agent.

  1. Pick a plan and pay once

Starter is the web app; All-in adds iPhone, iPad and Android. At checkout you enter your GitHub username.

  2. Accept the GitHub invitation

That account is invited to the private repository for your plan. Accept it, then clone the code to your computer.

  3. Run the phone app

Start Supabase and the web app with the setup guide, then run the phone app in an iPhone simulator, an Android emulator or on your own phone.

Two plans, paid once.

Starter is the web app. All-in adds the iPhone, iPad and Android app on the same backend.

A good fit

  • Your customers expect an app on their phone as well as a website.
  • You build for clients and want web, iPhone and Android from one repository.
  • You build with a coding agent: the phone app has its own AGENTS.md and 7 skills for the phone app and the app stores.

Not a good fit

  • You want to sell subscriptions through Apple’s or Google’s in-app purchase.
  • You need passkeys, magic links or push notifications on the phone.
  • You only need a website: Starter is the web app, for less.

Questions about the phone app.

Is it a real app or a website in a wrapper?

A real app. It is built with Expo and React Native, with native screens that talk to the same backend as the website, not a web view of it. One codebase builds for iPhone, iPad and Android.

Which plan includes the phone app?

All-in. Starter is the web app only. All-in adds the Expo app for iPhone, iPad and Android on the same sign-in and data, plus 7 agent skills for the phone app and the app stores.

Can I publish it to the App Store and Google Play?

Yes. The app is set up for App Store and Google Play releases, with a release guide. You publish under your own Apple and Google developer accounts, as every app does.

Do I need a Mac?

Not for Android: it builds with Android Studio. Running the iPhone app on your computer needs a Mac with Xcode; a cloud build service you set up can build it without one.

Can people pay inside the app?

Not in the kit. Customers pay on the website with Stripe or Lemon Squeezy, and the app shows their team’s plan. Selling subscriptions inside an app falls under Apple’s and Google’s payment rules, so the kit leaves that choice to you.

Does the phone app have passkeys or push notifications?

Not today. On the phone, people sign in with a password or Google, confirm sign-ups with a code sent by email and can turn on two-step sign-in. Passkeys, magic links and the notifications bell are in the web app only, and the kit has no push notifications.
