shipanysaas vs Makerkit
shipanysaas vs Makerkit side by side: price, licence, refunds, stack, teams, phone app and coding-agent setup, with a source for every Makerkit fact.
The short answer
Choose Makerkit if
- you want a longer track record: Makerkit says it has been maintained full-time since 2022, and its maintainer answers questions in its Discord
- you want more choices: React Router 8 and TanStack Start versions come with the Supabase licence, separate kits use Drizzle or Prisma, and payments can also go through Paddle (a plugin) or, on the Drizzle and Prisma kits, Polar
- you'd like to try a free version first (Makerkit Lite, MIT licensed), or start from its free Figma UI kit
Choose shipanysaas if
- you'd rather pay less: Makerkit Pro lists at $349 for one developer, and both shipanysaas plans cost less, including All-in with the phone app
- you build for clients: one licence covers every product you build for them
- you build with a coding agent and want setup for 10 named agents, up to 51 ready-made skills and up to 17 written fixes for setup errors

Where Makerkit is stronger
A longer track record. Makerkit says it has been maintained full-time since 2022. Its maintainer is active in its Discord community and answers questions there, and Teams adds a private Discord channel. shipanysaas is new and has no history like that yet.
More stacks and providers. The Supabase licence covers Next.js, React Router 8 and TanStack Start versions of the kit. They take payments through Stripe or Lemon Squeezy, and the Next.js one through Paddle too, as a plugin. Separate Drizzle and Prisma kits, each with its own licence, use Better Auth on the Postgres provider you choose and bill through Stripe or Polar. shipanysaas is Next.js on Supabase, with Stripe or Lemon Squeezy.
A free version and a design kit. Makerkit Lite is free and MIT licensed, without billing, teams or the admin panel, and there is a free Figma UI kit. shipanysaas has no free version; its live demo is the way to try it first.
Where shipanysaas is different
A lower price. Both shipanysaas plans cost less than Makerkit Pro, which covers one developer; the table above has both kits' prices. Both kits include an Expo app on the same Supabase backend: Makerkit sells it with its Supabase licences, and shipanysaas with All-in.
Agent setup across tools. Both kits ship AGENTS.md files, an MCP server and skills written for the kit. Makerkit's docs give rules for six tools: Claude Code, Google Antigravity, Cursor, Devin Desktop, Codex and Gemini. shipanysaas has setup for 10 named agents, up to 51 ready-made skills (most of them third-party skills bundled with their licences) and up to 17 written fixes for setup errors that agents are told to check before guessing.
Price and licence
Both kits are a single payment with no subscription, and both include updates. Makerkit's plans step up by developer seats. Client work needs Teams, and every client that receives the code needs its own Makerkit licence; each stack (Supabase, Drizzle or Prisma) is a separate licence. shipanysaas has one licence for unlimited products, yours and your clients', and its two plans differ by platform: Starter is the web app, and All-in adds the phone app. Current prices are in the table above.
Try both
Makerkit Lite is free, and Makerkit's site has a live demo of each web kit; the Next.js Supabase demo has a button that signs you in to a demo account. The shipanysaas demo has a shared login you open in one click and a web build of the phone app, so you can click through sign-in, teams and settings before you buy.
